Keep It Boring, Girl! is an 11-song jazz/pop album that balances intimacy with quiet defiance. Recorded primarily in live takes with minimal overdubs, the record captures the immediacy and vulnerability of performance, allowing nuance and imperfection to remain front and center. Lyrically, it explores the pressure to stay interesting in order to be successful, interrogates femininity and what it means to be a woman, and grapples with the difficulty of being nurturing—to others, to art, and to oneself. The result is a collection that feels both conversational and unguarded, resisting spectacle in favor of honesty and restraint
